1Jo 1:7 but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Mat 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid.
Mat 5:15 Neither do men light a lamp, and put it under the bushel, but on the stand; and it shineth unto all that are in the house.
1Pe 2:9 But ye are a elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Luk 11:34 The lamp of thy body is thine eye: when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when it is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
Rom 2:19 and art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them that are in darkness,
Act 26:23 how that the Christ must suffer, and how that he first by the resurrection of the dead should proclaim light both to the people and to the Gentiles.
So what is light and what does it do?
Light divides the darkness.
Light reveals things that normally cannot be seen.
The three basic dimensions of light are:
Intensity, Frequency, Polarization
Dimensions of light relative to the Believer.
Intensity of light is directly related to the brightness. The brighter the light the harder it is to ignore the harder it is to cover up and the farther it reaches. The more intense the Christian the farther the gospel will reach. Just thinking of Paul and how intense he was and you can see how many people he affected, and how hard it would have been for people to ignore him.
Frequency of light is perceived as the color. The frequency doesn’t change the brightness just the way we perceive the light. A Christian can be different but still equally bright.
Polarization is normally not perceivable by the human eye. Yet is an equal part of light. Not all things Christians do are visible, many things in a believers life are not seen yet are equally important.
Mat 6:4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
You can think of all these dimensions equal in one ray of light.
God is light.
Jo 1:5 And this is the message which we have heard from him and announce unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Rev 22:5 And there shall be night no more; and they need no light of lamp, neither light of sun; for the Lord God shall give them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
Light can be interchangeable with truth in description of character.
Looking at the trinity.
Intensity (brightness/amplitude) of light is like the Father. The Father reveals truth indirectly. The Father sent his Son to reveal the truth to the world. By the father the Son showed his light to the world. Light is normally only visible when it reflects off something. I believe the Father is the same way his brilliance is only visible when it reflects off something else.
Joh 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
This verse could describe the Amplitude of light quite well, you cant actually see the shape of the Light. You can only see the shape of what the amplitude reveals.
Frequency (color) of light is like the Son. The Son is like this directly visible part of light. Normally light is only visible after it reflects off something but if the frequency is just right after the light is split then the light can be directly seen. Even when the light is split up it’s still equally light all three dimensions are still present. God can normally not be seen, but under special circumstances God reveals himself as a direct ray of light. The Lord Jesus Christ is that directly visible ray of light.
Intensity and Frequency are directly related you can’t have one with out the other. You can’t look at the frequency of light without looking at the amplitude because they are in the same wave. As you can see in the diagram below.
Note: Wavelength is just the reciprocal(inverse) of frequency.
Joh 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
1Jo 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father:
Joh 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
Polarization (or angle of vibration) is not perceptible by humans under ordinary circumstances. Electromagnetic waves are three-dimensional, and it is their vector nature that gives rise to the phenomenon of polarization. This is like the Holy Ghost only revealing itself under certain circumstances. The Holy Ghost is different then the Son and Father because its role is more of a servant then an all-mighty figure. Yet the Holy Ghost is equally part of God just like polarization is equally part of light.
Luk 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness
As you can see The Lord Jesus Christ was God, he was the Trinity as a man. He was a complete ray of light. As said before he is equal with the Father and now you see he is full of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
As you can see the Holy Ghost by nature is not revealed to us. Yet under certain circumstances as the repentance of sins, what naturally can’t be seen is now revealed through the Holy Ghost.
It's Important to note, all the dimesions of light still equal one ray of light.
All three dimensions of God are all equally part of God.
