Mans doctrine

If a doctrine can’t be disproved should we believe it?

There are countless doctrines that can’t be disproved with scripture, for instance the Gap theory is probably one, UFO’s in the Old Testament and countless other ones. Should we just hold onto a doctrine that has no evidence, just because we cant find any contradictions or any one who can disprove it. Any doctrine like this would be what Paul describes as unsound, and should be discarded as what the word of God teaches.

There is a new movement of false Christ’s who are totally brainwashing people using scripture with a subtle twist. This one man just adds a little bit to his doctrine from the doctrine of the apostle Paul’s writings. It’s hard to disprove but yet what he is saying is an unnecessary doctrine and needs not to be there. For the truth of scripture does not need this mans teaching, scripture as far as I can tell does not directly contradict his teaching but yet it does not support it. Again the apostle Paul would refer to this as unsound doctrine. (Titus 1:9)

The Devil did this exact same thing. Matt 4:6 He added and took away from scripture in his sayings, to fit his own desires or his own doctrine. He quoted Psalm 91:11-12 adding and taking away.

Anyone who teaches such things adding to the scriptures where they need to just to support their teachings is in serious danger (Rev 22:18). It does not need to be that the person takes the word of God and re-writes it on pen and paper. When the Devil quoted scripture he did not write it down on pen and paper he was adding to the word of God just by saying it. Many of these deceivers don’t add to the word of God by pen and paper they add it to the minds of their listeners by the words that they associate with the teachings of scripture.

I believe any one who believes something because they can’t prove it wrong, is going down a bad path a theological nightmare where anything you want can be considered the proper teaching of the word of God. Our doctrine must come from scripture, not our doctrine come from man then say well I can’t find any contradictions so it must be true.
Doctrine that comes from your parents or your local Church is mans teaching, that doesn’t mean it’s wrong but being human it very well can be. People think of stuff nearly every day that neatly fits into scripture but yet is totally unnecessary, it may not but a contradiction but it is not necessary and man made.

2Ti 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
2Ti 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
So many of these false Christ’s are becoming very successful because the whole of Christendom does the exact same thing. Adding to scripture things that are unnecessary things they say can’t be contradicted but yet not supported in scripture. Then people get angry and offended when people say stuff like “I am Jesus Christ” but they can’t do anything, because of so many unscriptural beliefs we have clouded the pure word of God by our own doctrine.

Mat 15:6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
Mat 15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
Mat 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
Mat 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Mat 15:10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
Mat 15:11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

How are we ever going to defend our teachings if we rely on our tradition, the commandments of men.

I would like to turn your attention to a short story in the Bible.

Act 17:10 The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived they went into the Jewish synagogue.
Act 17:11 Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

Notice how the Berea’s reacted. Now look at how the Thessalonians reacted.

Act 17:12 Many of them therefore believed, with not a few Greek women of high standing as well as men.
Act 17:13 But when the Jews from Thessalonica learned that the word of God was proclaimed by Paul at Berea also, they came there too, agitating and stirring up the crowds.

I seriously believe a lot of local Churches are moving away from the Berea attitude and towards the Thessalonians way of dealing with things. How can anyone take these people seriously they just came to agitate everyone. The Thessalonians were motivated by there heart yet the Berea’s were motivated by an open mind ready to investigate truth, they questioned Paul to see if what he said was true. There’s no mention of Paul being offended by the Berea’s questioning but notice as soon as the Thessalonians showed up he left.

Here’s link to that false Christ site.
